Since being founded as a nonprofit 501(c)(3) in 1996, Autism Connection of PA has served tens of thousands of Pennsylvania families and adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). We send weekly e-blast, quarterly newsletters, and offer regular seminars to over 12,000 people on our mailing lists. Our comprehensive website, support groups, and free lending library are popular and well-used resources. Visit us at www.autismofpa.org
Autism Connection of PA envisions a community where children, adolescents, and adults with ASD achieve their maximum potential in social, educational, and vocational environments. We give families both hope and help by advocating and providing Support, Education, and Information.
We are governed by a volunteer board of directors and staffed by parent professionals with personal and professional knowledge about autism and related disorders. The Board of Directors is comprised primarily of people with firsthand experience with autism, including parents and autistic adults, assisted by the guidance of a Professional Advisory Council, consisting of physicians, therapists, educators, and others with strong connections to the autism community.
Autism Connection of PA's ability to serve Pennsylvania's ASD community is based solely upon support from donations, fundraisers, conferences, sponsorships, grants, organizational membership, and designated employee contributions through the United Way (#9817).
