    What is Special Care Planning?
For parents of a loved one with special needs there may come a time, through sickness, disability or death, when you will not be able to provide care for them. For this reason, many families choose to go through the Special Care Planning process. Children and adults with autism face challenges in the areas of language comprehension and use. There are common problems that are evident across the spectrum that have roots in language. This presentation will discuss these areas and offer practical suggestions for parents, teachers and therapists for dealing with the challenges. The infusion of humor from the use of movie and T.V. clips helps to empower the audience to come up with unique solutions to language problems.
