6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m.

**Social Worker and Act 48 credits available**

A student’s disability may manifest in behaviors, and it is up to the Individualized Education Program (IEP) team to ensure that supports and services are in place to address issues that can arise. This workshop gives insight into behavior as communicating needs, and provides strategies that can help you protect your child’s right to a free and appropriate public education.

At the completion of this session, learners will be able to:

1.    Define manifestation determination

2.   Identify IEP goals and interventions that address behavior

3.   Discuss the importance of evaluation

4.   Identify manifestation determination review and hearing processes

5.   Use resources to improve communication with their child’s school.
