Presenters will share tips and ideas for students as they prepare to navigate a new college environment while following safety guidelines that may require students to learn from home or follow new rules in their dorms and classrooms. These tips include: staying organized, managing time, connecting with professors and disability services, ways to practice self-care, and ideas for staying social.

At the completion of this session, learners will be able to:

  • Learn to adjust to a new school environment that may involve wearing masks, changes to dorm life, and/or learning online or in a “hybrid” learning environment.

  • Learn ways to stay organized and manage time while taking classes online or partially online.

  • Learn ways to connect with professors and disability services from a distance.

  • Learn tips for success with video chatting with professors and peers.

  • Learn ways to stay social and to practice self care.
